As CEO & President, Doug Martin is responsible for leading CODATSO’s strategy and execution. Doug leverages his experience as an IT Solutions Executive having led diverse businesses in a variety of market segments working with people around the globe.
His prior company experience includes leading customer facing teams at IBM/Tivoli, Sun/WaveSet, Symantec and CA Technologies. In these roles, Doug has worked with customers, both large scale and niche-oriented organizations, to provide technology solutions that empower growth, organizational flexibility and increased efficiencies.
Doug is a former Hydroplane Driver & Owner having competed across the United States and Canada as part of the American Power Boat Association (APBA) and the Hydroplane Racing League (HRL) racing series. In 2008, he won the UIM World Championship on the historic course in Valleyfield, Quebec. Doug also competed collegiately in Varsity Tennis with pro tournament and teaching experience post college.
In 2007, Doug experienced a brain hemorrhage due to a Cerebral Cavernous Malformation (CCM). He is extremely grateful to the talented team of Neurosurgeons at the University of Virginia, led by Dr. John Jane, Sr. for the successful removal of the CCM. A helpful resource was the Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformation (www.alliancetocure.org) which Doug actively supports. He hopes that his own journey shows others that overcoming unexpected adversity is possible and to continue moving forward in life.
Doug is on the Board of Directors for Racing2Read (www.racing2read.org), an organization that is focused on increasing literacy rates and promoting reading. He is a graduate of Radford University, a Dad to 3 daughters and resides in Purcellville VA with his wife Tina.
